GOP’s Senate budget (rec'd via email):
- slashes programs for K-12 education
- cuts Pell Grants that help low-income students attend college
- repeals the Affordable Care Act
- cuts investments in infrastructure and innovation
Here is another clear message from big money and corporations - just in case you've been missing the point (how many hints do you need?).
The message is ...
"There's no need to invest in infrastructure and innovation because we've sent the jobs overseas (and we're sending more jobs overseas).
"We don't need the Affordable Care Act because anyone who needs insurance is already covered by employment and, in addition, providing Affordable Care reduces the profits of the insurance industry and threatens the profits of drug companies. If you don't serve to increase the profits of corporations, we don't need you.
"There's no need to help low-income students attend college because we have no jobs for them anyway. They cannot serve to increase the profits of corporations so we don't need them (unless they want to take out loans to attend for-profit colleges).
"Programs for k-12 education are also not needed, for all of the reasons listed above."
